We believe in data minimization. We do not want your personal data. We only collect what is strictly necessary to connect your video call and prevent abuse.

1. Who We Are

Meet Zero ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website meet-zero.co. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), we are the Data Controller.

Our registered location is in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. You can contact us regarding data privacy at: support@meet-zero.co.

2. The Data We Collect

We process the following categories of data:

  • Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system, and unique device identifiers. We use this to prevent abuse (rate limiting) and ensure room security.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our website, such as room creation timestamps and session duration.
  • Communication Data: Audio and video streams transmitted during calls. These are encrypted in transit and are not recorded or stored by us.
  • Transaction Data: If you purchase "Pro" access, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

3. Third-Party Processors

We use trusted third-party infrastructure to run Meet Zero. We do not sell your data.

Stream.ioProvides the video/audio infrastructure. Processes real-time media streams.
SupabaseDatabase hosting and authentication. Stores room metadata and anonymous user IDs.
StripePayment processing. Handles all billing information securely.
OpenAIGenerates "AI Wingman" conversation prompts. Does not process call audio/video.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We strictly use essential cookies and local storage required for the app to function. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising pixels.

Specifically, we use sessionStorage to maintain your unique Device ID during a session to prevent connection errors.

5. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction of your personal data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data ("Right to be forgotten").
  • Object to processing of your personal data.
